Looking for "An Ideal Husband"? For the next few weeks you can have the experience for only $20! Township 7 has partnered with a local theatre company for the second year on one of Oscar Wilde's most enduringly popular plays with the opening night performance this Friday evening at their Naramata winery! First produced over a century ago in London, Wilde was arrested a few months after the premiere due to his notoriously unconventional lifestyle. Taking place in late Victorian England, the comedy centers around sex, blackmail and political corruption. Set over the course of 24 hours, the play is a brilliant mix of farce and morality, satirizing the conventions and social hypocrisy of the time. Performances run from the end of July to mid-August for only $20 per ticket with partial proceeds from sales in support of local charity. Alfresco picnics and wines by the glass will be available for purchase. (No other alcoholic beverages are permitted on the premises). New show added!
