Arrowleaf Cellars is a family-owned winery established by Joe and Margrit Zuppiger and son, Manuel Zuppiger. The Zuppiger family, originally from Switzerland, immigrated to Canada in 1986. They operated a dairy farm in Alberta until they decided they needed a change in life. In 1996, with the goal of establishing a winery, they found an ideal vineyard in the Okanagan Valley.
With a solid background in agriculture they proceeded to expand the vineyard and plan for the construction of the winery. During this time, Manuel completed a three year winemaking course in Switzerland and expanded his knowledge with practical winery experience in Australia and the Okanagan Valley. Upon his return, the design and construction of the 5000 square-foot winery building began. Finally, seven years and many gray hairs later, Arrowleaf Cellars opened its doors in the spring of 2003.
The winery is situated in Okanagan Centre and offers a breathtaking view of the surrounding vineyard and Lake Okanagan. Arrowleaf Cellars is a small operation focusing on limited quantities of cool-climate wines. The styles range from aromatic and crisp to complex, barrel-aged reds and whites. Nearly all the grapes |

I was in the BC on business and decided to visit Arrowleaf. What a great experience. The staff were very friendly and the views were amazing. I bought some great wine as gifts for friends. I hope to visit again.

We have visited Arrowleaf Winery for several years now and have always been impressed with the helpful staff and great wines; outstanding for such a small winery. Our favourites include the Bacchus and the Zweilgelt. We bought the last of their 2004 Chardonnay this time.

We visited Arrowleaf one beautiful summer day and lunched in the picnic area. The staff made us feel welcome and gave us a brief description of the operation. We came away with some good wine and good memories.

Truly an amazing location the visual experience is enhanced by the selection and quality of the wine. We enjoyed Bacchus, Chardonnay, Red Feather, Pinot Noir and Zweigelt and from the banter we heard in the tasting room, the quality is consistent if repeat customers are to be believed. What added to our visit experience was the knowledgeable staff. All questions were answered with enthusiastic expertise. Next time we'll bring a picnic.

My family and I have been visiting Arrowleaf every summer since they opened. The view at the winery is stunning and the charm is apparent everywhere - from the cozy wine shop to the breezy picnic area with its wandering dalmatian. But what keeps us coming back year after year is the wine! Especially noteworthy are the clean, crisp and fruit-forward whites such as the Bacchus and Gewurztraminer, in addition to our favourite red, the versatile and smooth Zweigelt. The quality of the wine has shown to be consistent, the prices have remained reasonable and the good reputation of the winery is very well deserved. Without question, Arrowleaf wines will be gracing our patio yet again this summer.

I visited Arrowleaf last weekend and I have to say that they have one of the prettiest views I have ever seen at a winery. Had we known how nice it was ahead of time we would have brought our lunch and kids and made use of their fabulous picnic area. We did sample the wine, however. I was very disappointed. Despite the fact that the wines that we sampled being 2003s, they tasted as though that had been bottled earlier that day. There was no start and no finish and tasted more like flavoured vinegar than wine. Truly disappointed.
