2009 Arrowleaf Cellars Solstice Pinot Gris
Highlights

Solstice Pinot Gris is made exclusively from grapes grown by Suncrest Vineyard in Okanagan Centre.
Characterized by gravelly loam soils, a mild micro-climate and a steep slope towards Okanagan Lake,
this is the vineyard that Arrowleaf Cellars winery was founded and built on.  The wine was fermented
and aged on the lees for 6 months in French and  American oak.   A rich, nuanced, dry wine
featuring apple, pear and vanilla flavours.  The natural acidity and mineral-like extract of the
low-cropped Pinot Gris is balanced by the smooth vanilla flavour and creaminess imparted by the oak
and lees aging.
