A deep garnet colour with an aromatic bouquet of violet, blackberry, cardamom, clove and dark plum. A smooth, rich, medium to full-bodied wine with velvety sweet tannins and moderate acidity. On the palate, the rich ripe black fruit notes mingle nicely with the notes of exotic baking spices. The lingering finish shows notes of juicy blackberries, black pepper and sweet spice. Pairs well with grilled steaks with a chimichurri sauce, roast beef with root vegetables, meat pies, beef bourguignon, chorizo and black bean empanadas, marinated leg of lamb, and peppercorn steaks.
