On the Blasted Church estate vineyard there are five rows of Riesling tucked in between the Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay. They harvested the Riesling on October 22nd. The growing season of 2010 was somewhat difficult as the grapes required a longer time to ripen and hence the fruit was picked later than in previous years. The grapes were picked to retain the natural high acidity and to show off flavours of citrus/apple.
