Greata Ranch Vineyards
The cool BC climate and one-of-a-kind terroir of this winery produces some incredible traditional method sparkling wine. Located on the historic Greata Ranch site, this Peachland winery offers a peaceful oasis with incredible lake views.
Hainle Vineyards Estate Winery
This Peachland-based organic winery is the first ice wine maker in north America. Hainle also offers a cookery school allowing for incredible food and wine pairings.
If you time your wine touring right, you can visit Peachland's annual World of Wheels Car Show or catch up on local lore of the legendary Ogopogo lake monster, said to reside on Rattlesnake island (directly across from Peachland). If you need a little adrenaline to spice up your wine tasting weekend, visit Zipzone Adventure Park (one of the highest ziplines in the world) or hike one of the many trails in Okanagan Mountain Provincial Park.

8th Generation Vineyard
Located in Trout Creek, not far off the shore of Okanagan Lake, this family Vineyard offers everything from a classic riesling to a beautiful syrah, and even an apple juice for the kids. Owners Stefanie, a 12-generation winemaker, and Bernd, an 8th-generation winemaker, Schales offer a strong background in winemaking. Bernd studied viticulture and oenology at the University of Weinsberg in Germany and further refined his wine-growing and wine-making skills at his family's vineyard in Germany, as well as in other wineries in Germany, New Zealand and South Africa.
Dirty Laundry Vineyard
A small family-owned Okanagan winery, this Vineyard enjoys an ideal micro-climate and excellent sun exposure for growing exceptional grapes; in fact some of the oldest vinifera vines in the Valley. Every year it has entered, Dirty Laundry has won awards at competitions including the San Francisco International Wine Competition, All Canadian Wine Championship, InterVin International Wine Awards and the International Wine & Spirits Competition.
Sonoran Estate Winery
Located on the lakefront with a panoramic view across Okanagan Lake, this Vineyards climate is tempered by its lakeshore location and steep eastern exposure. Touting five acres of vineyards including Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc, Merlot and Gewurtztraminer, Sonoran offers full-bodied wines, soft breezes and tonnesof sunshine. Stop for a meal on the patio or stay at the onsite Windmill Bed & Breakfast.
Sumac Ridge Estate Winery
This winery has been dedicated to producing 100 percent British Columbia-grown wines since inception, and all its wines carry the VQA designation. Sumac Ridge produced its first vintage in 1980, making it British Columbia's first estate winery. At the Summerland winery site, Chardonnay, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Noir and Riesling grapes are grown on a vineyard sloping toward Okanagan Lake. Pioneering in many ways, Sumac Ridge Estate Winery was the first Okanagan winery to produce premium sparkling wines.
Established in 1999, this winery is perfectly designed for wine making as its unique structure allows gravity to transport the fruit and juice from the crush pad to the cellar, eliminating the effects of pumping. Both stainless-steel tanks and French oak barrels are used to create distinctive handcrafted red and white wines. Thornhaven's wines are produced from three diverse vineyards located around Giant's Head Mountain. The wine shop offers unique gift ideas and wine accessories, many supplied by local artisans. The courtyard patio provides a stunning setting for sipping wine in a relaxed atmosphere. The winery offers cheeses, antipasto, bruschetta and fresh baguettes for purchase and encourages visitors to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy with their wine.
